WordPress is Best
I’m sorry for all of this back and forth between content management systems everyone!
I’ve been trying to find something that works for me and unfortunately for PHP Fusion, it just didn’t work for me.
I decided to come back to WordPress and really just keep it like this.
I really enjoy writing, and feel like I should probably do more writing and a lot less modifying.
I used to have a bunch of old crap here on this blog so I decided to flush it out, but could never decide on what system to use. They all have their qwirks but I think WordPress is the best and most stable solution for my blog. I really would prefer to keep working with something that I am familiar with rather than learning a new system only to hate it.
Anyways welcome back! I hope you stick around for more of my writing and ranting

Thoughts on the Blackberry Playbook
Over the holidays, I was fortunate enough to be able to score one of the 16GB Blackberry Playbooks for a fairly cheap price. I ended up buying the 16GB model for $199.99 at FutureShop while they were still on sale.
First Impressions
My first impression was that for a tablet, the Playbook was pretty small.
I did however really like the rubberized finish that the Playbook has. It feels steady in your hand, and doesn’t feel like it’s going to just slip out of your hand while holding it.
Overall I was cautiously optimistic about my new purchase.
Size Matters
I’m not a huge ebook reader, however I did buy the Steve Jobs biography on the Kobo book store, and have been reading it on my Playbook. The Playbook is really comfortable to hold, as it is about the size of a novel.
The screen size is perfect for the Kobo application, although I did notice that the Kobo application itself has its qwirks on the Playbook. Sometimes when trying to flip the page, the new page will glitch into the previous page making it absolutely impossible to read without restarting the application.
The size of the Blackberry Playbook is actually quite nice for me. It’s definitely not for everyone, but for browsing the web, watching YouTube videos, and Tweeting / Facebooking, it does the job.
The Caveats
There are several issues facing the Blackberry Playbook that really need to be addressed and remedied that I believe are coming in a software update for the Playbook.
Currently the Playbook is lacking the following:
- Nowhere to store contacts. (It can connect with a Blackberry device and display contacts but no native way of storing or reviewing contacts)
- No native calendar application. (When connected to a Blackberry device, you can view the calendar stored on the Blackberry device, however there is no native calendar application)
- No native email client – In 2011 / 2012 it’s just not right for a mobile device to not have a native email client. Especially from a company that literally invented mobile email devices!
- App Store selection – Is absolutely terrible. It looks a lot like the Web OS store. Nothing there outside the normal Angry Birds… There’s not even a Twitter client from the people at Twitter.
In the End
I’m still happy with my purchase, but for people who are looking for a tablet that does it all, this is not the tablet for you. This is a browsing / YouTube / reading tablet and that’s about it. (For Now.)
